Loon just announced that it will be closing down operations over the next several months. The company will remain a HAPS Alliance member through this transition, and Ken Riordan will continue in his role as President of the Alliance.
We remain immensely proud of the HAPS Alliance’s growth since its founding, along with the impact our work is having in the industry. Loon, its leadership, engineers, and talented team have been instrumental in helping to launch the organization and drive working group initiatives. We appreciate Loon’s many contributions to the HAPS Alliance and look forward to the ongoing support of its members and the overall community.
The HAPS Alliance Board will meet soon to determine the next steps for ensuring a seamless leadership transition while driving the organization forward. We’re excited about the future of the HAPS Alliance and the impact the organization will have on the industry as we execute our 2021 initiatives.
