HAPS Alliance - An Alliance for the Greater Good
In our quest for understanding and advancement, man has launched spacecraft and instruments beyond Earth's atmosphere and well beyond through the outer reaches of our solar system.
But in all the decades since we first ventured beyond our planet, one area within Earth's orbit, well above air traffic, wildlife, and weather events, has remained untapped: the stratosphere.
With its close proximity to Earth, the stratosphere offers substantial opportunities to advance many industries–spanning telecommunications, high-resolution Earth observation, weather prediction, and modeling.
Our Mission
The mission of the HAPS Alliance is to unlock the stratosphere to enhance connectivity and sensing services for civilian and government applications globally.
Our Vision
To bring connectivity to more people, places, and things worldwide. We unite companies from telecommunications, technology, aviation, and aerospace industries in the education, regulation, and promotion of high altitude platform stations (HAPS) in the stratosphere.
HAPS Alliance member companies collectively advocate for the advantages of HAPS with relevant authorities in various countries, build a cooperative HAPS ecosystem, develop common product specifications, and promote the standardization of HAPS network interoperability.
