By Telecommunications Management Group Vice President, Geraldo Neto
No matter how deep your expertise and experience runs, you can always achieve even more through collaboration. We believe that by working together with the HAPS Alliance, we can maximize the global potential for HAPS to expand its connectivity.
Who are we? Telecommunications Management Group (TMG) has worked with public and private clients for more than 30 years on the development of regulatory, legal, managerial, economic and technical strategies.
We have provided guidance in designing information and communication technologies (ICT) and broadband strategies. TMG has developed frameworks that incorporate legal and regulatory analysis and reforms, promoted infrastructure development, and analyzed the impact of new technologies. Our projects also include working with providers to introduce new services and enter new markets.
Our work has included advising companies operating in the HAPS technology space with national, regional, and global engagements to create and expand opportunities for HAPS services. We’ve been working with HAPS technology for several years to assist in the development of regulatory frameworks and spectrum plans that enable the successful provision of connectivity solutions.
A Proud HAPS Alliance Member
TMG joined the HAPS Alliance to collaborate and lend our expertise to clients and HAPS technology stakeholders. The HAPS Alliance fills a unique role with the capabilities of its members in the ICT, aviation, and aerospace industries ensuring solutions are deployed to improve connectivity.
The efforts of the HAPS Alliance and its working groups are important to support industry initiatives with government officials and other stakeholders. TMG’s membership enables us to bring decades of experience assisting clients in more than 100 countries to the organization.
Contributing My Perspective
I serve as TMG’s vice president. With over 18 years of experience in the telecommunications field and active participation in ITU, I personally represent many companies holding different leadership roles in organizations. TMG’s staff also actively participates in ITU activities and holds leadership positions in ITU-R working groups.
I am excited about speaking from an ITU perspective during the HAPS Alliance Power Hour at MWC Barcelona 2023 on 1 March from 12:00 to 13:00 Central European Time on “How HAPS is Unlocking the Economic Potential of the Stratosphere,” alongside fellow members and industry experts. See you there!
